Eagerly awaiting the release of the A-12. Just got my Lightning wish list rounded out by Aerosoft, any chance of you guys scratching my (and probably others as well) itch for a complete Blackbird family by releasing a YF-12as well? As it is I was surprised to see the A-12 being done. I love your SR-71 and it looks like the A-12 will be even better! (And the natural metal skins look fabulous!)

Hi,

Thanks for your kind words. Depending on the success of the A-12 I may look at the YF-12, and may possibly even revisit the SR again to bring the model in line. I did also start working on a D-21 drone which was mounted on the two seat A-12 known as the M-21 and was mounted between the canted tail fins.

This would be a free update if it sees the light of day.

Regards,

David.

That would be totally awesome as well! I was just so excited about an A-12 that I forgot about Project Tagboard/Senior Bowl! As far as how well this project will do, I predict that pretty much everyone who bought the SR-71 will get this as well! I'd also like to say thanks for the Hustler as well. Between you, Razbam and Virtavia my Convair deltas are accounted for! I have a freeware Sea Dart that's okay, but I don't think a mainstream company will release one. (Although Virtavia might, they did put out an XB-46 after all.) Any idea on the release date for the Cygnus? Sounds like you're pretty close!

I quite like the Sea Dart, I saw one once outside the San Diego Air and space museum. Good looking aircraft.

The A-12 is virtually finished, I just need to create the three installers for FSX, Prepared V3 and V4. I don't know about FSX:SE I'm unsure of the install path for that. If anyone knows please let me know!

Hope you like it, it's been a long time coming!

I saw that this plane has manual inlet spike control. I can't wait to try it and cause an unstart! (And then see if I can actually get the engine restarted!)

It also has a working TEB system so you only have 16 shots of TEB and therefore 16 engine starts/afterburner ignitions per engine before you can only get power just below afterburner and a very long slow flight home!

Hi,

Funnily enough, the A-12 project begun as a new SR-71 project, but then another developer showed advanced screenshots of their new SR-71, so I switched to the lesser known A-12. Their project is in code as far as I know, but I've not heard anything recently.

Never say never, but at this moment in time, it's not in the works - however I did begin an external model redevelopment of the A-12 so that the SR could have the newer better model mesh.
