Compatibilities?

Post by clrichey » Mon Jun 12, 2023 10:19 pm

Hi, I have a question. Can you tell me whether all of the FSX products have been working through Steam? Thank you very much for your help.

Sincerely,
Connor Richey

Certainly the two latest SR-71 variants do. I have FSX:Steam and both the 2011 and 2022 version run fine (btw, get the 2022 version, it's much better visually :-). And both variants work fine in P3D too)

I don't see why the Hustler wouldn't work....

Do you mean Prepar3D is an FSX upgrade that works fine on FSX Steam?

This might get a little confusing but to try and explain. where I state FSX, that can be used interchangeably with FSX:SE

- The 2011 FSX variant works in P3D
- The 2022 FSX variant works in P3D (I use that sometimes due to performance issues in P3D. The flight model is the same, it just doesn't have the fancy PBR and doesn't look as visually as good because of that).
- The 2022 P3D variant will not work in FSX

If you get the 2022 version which I highly recommend you will get and installer for both P3D and FSX
