Gauge question

Post by LJToranaXU1 » Mon Jun 26, 2017 10:37 am

Hi I recently purchased the A-12 and have a quick query regarding 3 of the supplementary gauges.
The fwd door bypass position gauge, one needle remains static and the other seems to rotate in relation to aircraft altitude. I'm unsure as to when these bypass doors are meant to be opened/closed so don't know how this gauge is supposed to read during flight. I would assume that both doors would operate simultaneously, is there an error in the programming of this gauge?
The liquid Nitrogen and Oxygen gauges, only one of the needles appears to be active in these gauges, was this deliberate?

Thanks, Ian

Hi Ian,

The Nitrogen and oxygen gauges are basically dummy gauges because FS doesn't have a variable for those items. They are based very loosely on fuel usage and go down over time, but are not accurate representations of real usage.

I'll have a look at the Bypass doors - they open and close at varying speeds, however my understanding is that they should be moving together.....will take a look tonight ;)

Kind regards,

David.

Hi Ian,

That does indeed look to be a bug in that gauge.

At some point in a few weeks, I will do an update and will include this.

Thanks for spotting it. ;)
