FSX Hustler Screenshots

Post by DBushell » Mon Apr 08, 2013 4:44 pm

As many of you know I am currently working on an FSX B-58 Hustler.

Here are some development shots.

Be advised though that the aircraft is already in the sim and the cockpit has smooth 3D gauges and is currently undergoing a lot of work. The texturing is not finalised yet on everything you see here. The FSX B-58 Hustler screenshot is using Dave Quincey's excellent 2048 textures.

Anyway, I hope you like them:

Excellent. I've been waiting for your B-58 for FSX. I have your plane for FS9 and fly it all the time. Can't wait. Thanks, Brian :D :D :D

The new detail looks brilliant, David, and it's great my old texture sets fit it! The vc also looks to be coming along nicely as well. WIll the model have spec and alpha available to play with the metalling? I now have a 'proper' version of Photoshop so I find alphas and .dds much easier to work with.

Looking forward to trying this one out!

Best regards

Hi Dave,

Yes it will all be DDS. I don't think it will have any bump mapping though I may possibly set it so that it can be added. But definitely Spec maps etc.

Do you have any more "bones" or screenshots to throw at us. It has been a couple of weeks since your last update and would really appreciate another report of progress to bring the B-58 to FSX. Can hardly wait. Tnx, Skip

Is there anyway to get an email alert when you release the B-58?

Hi

The VC is coming on well and I should have some more shots posted this week. I've got night lighting to do and some more coding but she is definitely taking shape.

I don't have a facility to do an automatic email update but if you subscribe to this thread It should email you every time there is a reply, and I will post when it's released on here.

Kind regards,

David.

Here's some more work in progress screenshots. Coding of the VC is nearly finished now.

The fuel panel along with all gauges except for the AOA gauge used for landing and a couple of others are 3D modeled for ultra smooth motion. They have all been meticulously crafted using the pilots manual to ensure that they look just like the originals.

The fuel panel is as was the FS9 version functional along with the Centre of Gravity Fore/Aft Fuel Transfer knob.

An updated shot of the left side as seen above in the original post.

TCP Tests. Using Dave Q's great textures while I create a new set.
